Katherine Kadish

I am a painter and printmaker, educated at Carnegie Mellon University (BFA) and at the University of Chicago (MA).

My work has always moved between painting and printmaking. The printmaking process of monotype unites the two territories and has been an important part of my work and ideas for over 30 years. In my painting, prints, and drawings, it is the potency of color and color relationships that most particularly interests me.

I have exhibited widely since 1973 throughout the U.S. and abroad in Canada, England, Japan, China, and Korea. My work is included in the collections of the British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, New York Public Library, Library of Congress, and other public collections. My work is also in private collections in the U.S., England, Italy, Thailand, China, and Korea.

I currently live and work in yellow Springs, Ohio and New York City.
