  Young Professionals Board

Computer Class

The Guild for the Blind serves individuals who are blind or visually impaired, including those with new vision loss.  We see every person with their unique talents and goals and strive to help our members focus and realize their dreams and life fulfilling lives.

Established in 2007, the Young Professionals Board is a group of committed young adults who want to help the Guild clients achieve their dreams.

The purpose of the Board is to:

  • Increase the awareness of Guild programs and exceptional accomplishments of our members through marketing and public relations outreach
  • Raise funds for Guild programs through creating, planning and implementing special events
  • Assist program staff in their work with Guild members through volunteer efforts

Now is a great time to join this NEW board.  Be involved on a board where you can have hands-on experience in the development and growth of the group from the beginning. This is an exceptional opportunity to not only directly and positively change lives of Guild members, but to gain valuable leadership experience, meet wonderful people, create friendships and change your own life and the world along the way.

HOW TO JOIN the Guild for Blind's  Young Professional Board:

  • To be an active member of the Young Professional Board (YPB), simply make a donation of $50 to the Guild to support the board's activities.
  • Commit to raising an additional $50 through the Guild's fundraising activities
  • Provide just two hours of volunteer service each quarter.
