Low Vision Center Information

The Guild offers one-on-one assistance to individuals who need help to determine which magnification device will best suit their needs. Before visiting our Low Vision Center, we recommend that you see your ophthalmologist or low vision specialist to identify your magnification and lighting needs. With this information, an experienced staff member will demonstrate a wide array of magnifiers, electronic magnification equipment, and lighting sources available to you for purchase. This hands-on opportunity to try out different low vision aids and devices will help you determine which is best to meet your individual needs.

Please be advised that the Guild for the Blind is not a medical facility and any assistance given is not to replace routine eye exams or regularly scheduled low vision therapy or evaluations with your optometrist, ophthalmologist, or low vision specialist.

To schedule your personal appointment, contact Brian Hollandsworth at (312) 236-8569 or brian@guildfortheblind.org.
