Often the most confusing thing about finding the services and
products you need to help you remain independent is knowing where
to look and who to ask.
The Guild's Information and Referral program is the answer. Our
program is designed to assist the community to obtain the information
they need -- information that will empower the blind or visually
impaired to live independently and with dignity. Guild staff has
catalogued all their practical and professional knowledge and
are eager to share this information with you.
The Guild, will provide you with answers
to your questions, contact names for agencies that provide a wide
range of services, referrals, fact sheets, registration forms,
or whatever information you seek. If the Guild doesn't have the
answers, we will direct you to someone who does.
As part of its Information and Referral program, the Guild publishes
a free, monthly newsletter, Guild Briefs,
packed with informative articles describing programs, services,
scholarships, products, and activities designed for people who
are blind or visually impaired.
For the answers you need, contact the Guild at (312) 236-8569
or by email at info@guildfortheblind.org.
