Martha Cowden Martha has been legally blind since the age of 32. Now totally blind, she relies on her sense of touch to create her one-of-a-kind pieces. "I really enjoy the entire process I use to make my hand-built pottery pieces. Texture is an important part of my work. Natural fibers, some hand-spun yarns and clay are used in various combinations to achieve different effects. Surface Shape $215

All art that is not marked as ‘SOLD” is available for purchase. If you are interested in any of these pieces, please contact Cheryl Megurdichian at 312-236-8569 or cherylm@guildfortheblind.org. For each piece purchased, 70% of the purchase price goes to the artist, 20% goes to the Guild, and 10% goes to Fourth Presbyterian Church, which is hosting the exhibit.
