Serik Kulmeshkenov

Serik was born in Astana, Kazakhstan and has been living in the U.S. since 2000. He has formal training has an architect, but had to leave his job because of his deteriorating vision.

He began engraving bookplates in 1985. "In my childhood I loved reading fantasy stories; and they mostly were good, kind, thoughtful and romantic ones. Their warm energy and philosophy were accumulated and eventually lit my new images.
