Juke Joint Arkansas (2000) Everything I paint is from a memory. I remember being in a cabaret on a sandy road in rural Arkansas where the band was blasting and people were having a great time. That became "Juke Joint."
Arkansas Church (2003) In traveling through Arkansas, revisiting my heritage, I saw a church that struck me as simple, but elegant -- that's what I tried to capture in this painting.
