Eileen Giles Crowley (Lombard, IL)

Going Blind (2004) This is a departure for me in that it is a tactile picture. It depicts the front and back area of a damaged eye --- the lens is destroyed and the blood vessels are leaking and bleeding. My intention is that a blind person could touch the picture and understand it.

Brooklyn 1950 (2003) This is the yard of the house in which I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. The clothesline was always full, and so were all the neighbors' lines. I still feel nostalgic when I see clothes blowing on a line.
