Apple Exchange
An Open Exchange for Users of Apple Technology
Micky Holdsworth, the Guild's Apple expert, leads this open group discussion on everything Apple. If you want to learn some great tips, learn about exciting new apps or just share in the conversation about Apple products, join us for this lively group. Apple Exchange meets quarterly -- with meeting times arranged by the group.
Since the holiday season is full of fun and games, our December meeting will focus on accessible games for the iPhone and iPad. Find out all the fun things you can do with your Apple device, ask questions and share your own fun ideas! Micky is also holding "gesture practice" immediately following Apple Exchange from 3:00 to 4:00 pm for anyone who is new to the iPhone and would like some pointers on mastering the technique. For more information, contact David Flament.
Micky Holdsworth is the Guild's Apple products expert. Mickey has strong knowledge of the Zoom and VoiceOver features of the MAC, iPhone and iPad. She can help you with friendly apps for people with vision loss or can get you started with a new Apple product. Micky also facilitates our quarterly Apple Exchange discussion group where anyone can stop by the Guild to exchange knowledge, ask questions and learn new tips. Micky can assist Apple users in the following ways:
- Getting started with an iPhone
- Using gestures with the iPhone and iPad
- Using Zoom and VoiceOver
- Downloading apps
- Using iTunes
You are welcome to phone or drop in for tutoring, but making an appointment is best if your need will require more time or you would like one-on-one assistance.
You can reach our tutors by phoning the Guild at 312-236-8569. Marv Commerford and Jose Nonato are available to help you on Thursdays. Micky Holdsworth is available on Tuesdays and on other days by appointment. Micky can also be reached via email at lowvisionapple@gmail.com.
