Service Numbers
Last year, the generous support of our donors and dedication of our volunteers allowed our small staff of eight to provide direct rehabilitation services to 1,014 people with vision loss, individually or in small groups:
- 101 people received counseling services to help them adjust to their vision loss, learn positive coping techniques and set new goals—including career objectives
- 258 seniors learned about the tools, resources and training that will help them remain independent and active
- 397 adults gained the rehabilitation skills that allow them perform daily tasks
- 258 students learned how to use adaptive technology with computers, digital voice recorders, cell phones and other equipment
In addition to our direct service programs:
- 4,209 people with vision loss, their families and the professionals who serve them received information and referral services
- 543 professionals in the vision rehabilitation field or who work with people with vision loss learned how to better serve their clients with vision loss
